The spread of digital instruments has changed our relation to photography in particular and to the image in general. We at the point now where we can look back on the activities of a whole generation that entirely grew up and has been active in this new era. In the countries of Eastern Europe the technological changes coincided with the years of political transformation, which makes the path-finding mission of the 1980’s generation, their relationship with photography and traditions, their place in the international context even more exciting to observe.
