Panel discussion

By today, Eastern European galleries operate according to international standards and their increasing number at international contemporary art fairs sound promising. Yet the general experience is that apart from a few exceptions, these galleries are having difficulties becoming established in the global art market and cannot effectively represent their artists there. This panel discussion aims to explore Eastern European galleries’ options for setting a foot in the international art market on a long-term basis and the cultural or economic barriers they may face during this process.
